Falstad's Circuit Simulator is a web-based electronic circuit simulation tool. It allows users to design and simulate electronic circuits directly in a web browser without the need for any specialized software or hardware.
When the page is first opened, there is a default LRC circuit demonstrating most features in the simulator.
To create a new circuit, go to the left-up corner, find "File" button and select "New Blank Circuit".
This simulator allows user to freely place wires and components by selecting the correponded item under "Draw" tage. In addition to electronic components, the simulator can also add text and labels to help users manage the circuit
There will be a "✓" to show which component has been selected
To create a wire or a component, simple press left mouse button and drag to the place.
To add new component between two wires' end, select a component, press left mouse button on one end and drag to the other one.
After adding new component, users could double-click it and set its attribute(s).
Once all the components are set, click the "RUN/Stop" button to allow the simulator start to simulate current flow.
When the applet starts up you will see an animated schematic of a simple LRC circuit. The green color indicates positive voltage. The gray color indicates ground. A red color indicates negative voltage. The moving yellow dots indicate current.
There are some preset circuits in the simulator
The simulator allows user to save the circuits. Also in the "File" field, select "Save As..." to name the file and save it to local.
